I was just thinking of them when she texted me. I couldn’t concentrate on studying today. Tomorrow I am just banking on the topics that I studied for. If they don’t come out… then… I dunno ah I go swim in beef noodles.

I’m all packed for Vietnam. I just hope I wake up in time for my flight.

3cheated in Vietnam
back, unpack, repack, jetset!
Back yesterday, off to Sweden tomorrow. I’m tired, I’m excited, I’m already missing my friends.
These two = more than amazing company. Love.
Flying off tonight and I’m almost done packing. All that is left is to go change some money, shower, pack toiletries.
I’m nervous-excited. This will be my first time in life seeing feeling tasting snow. I don’t know what to expect. I’m scared I’ll just shrivel and die.
And I’m dreading the 20h transit. I’ve equipped myself with episodes of Heroes and Brothers & Sisters, a couple of movies, some anime, brought 2 books, and of course, I want to organise and upload my Vietnam pics. Hope that will make the 20 hours fly by.
What should I do in my 20-hour transit? Should I explore Doha?
In the plane now, preparing for departure. Still nervous-excited. People in the plane are extremely cheery.

My 20-hour transit begins now.
I am utterly dazed from lack of sleep — I watched Julie & Julia in 2 parts during brunch (supper?) and breakfast, and fall right back to sleep in between. This is one of the smoothest flights I’ve been in. I love Qatar Airways.
A bird just flew above me. Are birds even allowed in the airport building? I feel like I’m in a park. I want to sleep.
I need to:
- find a powerpoint to survive
- ask if I can switch to an earlier flight
- get a drink, I’m thirrrrrsty but I have no Qatar money, will I make a loss if I pay in Euros?
- pee
- sleep
There are 2 birds now flying around in the airport. Am I already deranged from the lack of sleep? It’s really hazy outside. The sun just rose not too long ago. 6:30am Qatar time, 11:30am Singapore time.
6:30am. 18 hours more to go. Let’s go achieve those missions above and maybe fit in more tabacs from Duty Free. Ohh I see a quiet room. Sleep.
This meal COST ME S$18 WHAT THE FUGS. I keep getting robbed of my money! Everything here is in Riyals and I have no idea how much a Riyal is and yeah good for you isk now you’re $18 poorer. I could’ve watched 3 movies with that money. Rah.
The fries btw, are complimentary. I thought they were so nice to give me free food. Well yeah for 18 bucks I expect a complimentary beef steak.
9 more hours to go. My backside going to burst.
I want to leave this prison of a transit place and explore Doha. :(

I’ve been reading my Rough Guide to Sweden and I’ve read over and over how magical the winter in Kiruna is, with the aurora borealis and all.
But to jump from the tropics to sub-zero temperature? I’m not sure if I’m ready for this. I’m not sure even if I can tolerate the weather in Uppsala!
I’m going to see snow for the first time in my life!
